TIVAN was proudly founded by Andrea Bonacina and Tiziana Gerosa, passionate whisky lovers with the mission to produce high-quality local single malt whisky, using traditional methods with sustainable approach. Something rarely seen today.

Behind Every Drop

Each step of our production process is carefully planned and executed with great care, always with full respect for the centuries-old traditions that guide whiskey production. From sourcing raw materials to distillation and maturation, each step is executed with precision and dedication, ensuring that every drop of our whiskey reflects our commitment to quality and authenticity. By following artisanal methods passed down through the ages, we ensure that the end result is a product that reflects the essence of tradition, combined with a deep love of innovation and craftsmanship.

Raw Materials

TIVAN’s journey begins around the regional fields, where all of the 100% local barley is grown by small farms.

Artisanal
distillation

We use steam to heat the small stills, and mature the spirit in hand-selected casks (the more local we can) firmly linked to our region. Finally, our whisky is bottled on-site at the distillery.

Maturation in
Selected Barrels

Maturation takes place in carefully chosen barrels, each with a story related to our territory, which enriches the whiskey with unique notes.

Bottling

Each bottle is filled and sealed directly in our distillery to keep the quality of our product intact.

We love craft whiskey, and every step of our production is driven by passion and commitment to the highest quality. Each bottle of TIVAN is the result of a careful, time-consuming process, but offers an exceptional tasting experience in return.

Our
Whisky

The first barrels of TIVAN began their maturation in April and July 2021. After three years, we proudly presented our two inaugural single malts, produced in a limited run of numbered bottles.

project

Collaboration with important local players was a necessity: the creation of the first whisky of Lake Como wouldn’t have any sense if we had not involved only local players. Thanks to these synergies, all those involved have energetically supported the success of the project.
